An update from Fr Dominic

Published date: 15th April 2021

Good News: The administration of The Sacraments will return soon and I would love to hear from parishoners who can bring their talents and knowledge to support Church life again at St Mary's.

News on The Sacraments

Baptisms will begin again from May 28th. There are 25 little ones waiting and Baptisms will take place through the Summer until October.

First Holy Communion Masses are planned to take place from July. Three or four families will be able to gather on Saturdays at 2.30pm.

Confirmation of our Deanery Young People by Bishop Richard will take place here at Crowborough on Sunday November 7th at 3pm.

Preparation for the Sacraments: An important task in our Parish is preparing individuals and families to receive The Sacraments.

I will host a series of “Zoom” Meetings to encourage and support people to develop their confidence.

Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage and Becoming a Catholic will all be covered in the Zoom Meetings which I hope to start on Monday May 24th at 7pm and then continue fortnightly.

Fr Kevin's Party

The date of our Party with Fr. Kevin has been moved to Sunday July 11th from 2pm until 8pm.

There is a real need to recruit Volunteers to help with a range of tasks. We need more people to help with:

    • Stewarding: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for morning Mass

    • Safeguarding: People with a background in Health, Education, The Police or Social Work are needed to help to develop Safeguarding in our Parish.

    • Maintaining our property: We need people to help keep our Church property in good order.

Please do not hesitate to contact Fr. Dominic if you would like more Information.
